KMCC vs Pannal C.C.2nds

KMCC claim six points in comfort

KMCC lacking Duncan, Rod, Matthew and Paul Barthram from the win against Stainley found themselves starting the game with only 10 men however on the hottest day of the year Bradley was only to happy to win the toss and bat. It wasn't long before Iain,85 and Dujon,43 were making runs at a rapid rate and Shedley's scorers pencil was worn down with runs in batsmans card all afternoon. After Dujons inevitable departure before 50 in an innings which included a reverse swept four the Wookie showed his face and pummelled the bowling making a quick fire 36 smashed the Pannal leg spinner for a huge six into the green. Although a couple of wickets prevented 250 being posted Dave Tudbury, 33 and Elmer ensured that Kirkby went in at tea on 235-7.

Goldie and Gouty took the new ball and some wides apart kept Pannal out of the Game picking up a couple of wickets a piece. As a result by the time the ball was tossed to Hooksy KMCC were able to turn the screw and the kiwi whirlwind didn't fail to impress uprooting Pannals last recognised batsmens leg stump and shooting out a couple more of the tail to finish on 3-14. Wookie picked up three for himself and a fine catch by James Ripley ended the Pannal innings in style on 125 - Wides (28) extras 40 being the top scorer. 6 points for the first time in weeks and a clash with Ripley next week takes on epic proportions...
