Lofthouse Mauled
KMCC confidently disposed of bottom of the table Lofthouse after a couple of early scares in a game lit up by Dave Tudbury's first half century for KMCC. Tudbury(62) and Fraser I (62)provided the bulk of the runs between them in a 95 run partnership. Earlier in the day Rod had ensured the brief flurry of early wickets was not important chipping in with 46. A run rush at the end including yet another huge Duncan six saw KMCC finish on 265-7 at tea.
Lofthouse then provided sporadic resistance against the KMCC attack although once the top order had been dismantled there was little left to shore up the tail. Elmer turned his attention to a pesky pensioner finishing with figures of 3-15 as Lofthouse crumbed to 99 allout and 6 more points to KMCC.
