Victory despite batting hiccough
Shedley:Firm hand on tiller
Once again KMCC made heavy weather out of what should have been a simple victory once lofthouse had been restricted to 154 all out on a remarkably true pitch. At 48-1 all seemed set fair, until a mini collapse left the team reeling at 75-5. This time however KMCC stalwart Rod Pickles and Goldie were able to pick up the pieces in a thrilling match winning partnership. The highlight of which was 22 off one Challis over from the hot rod. A couple of late wickets enabled the capping off of the prodigal sons (Peter Raistrick) return to the KMCC fold with him striking the winning boundary
